The qualifying Rounds of Men s singles Asian Tennis Tour event will commence tomorrow as Ahmed Chohdri and Aman Atiq are given  wild Cards for main draw, and Kashanul Haq and Jibranul haq in Qualifying Draw,

Sara Mansoor  brushed aside Hania Naveed of Karachi in straight sets where as Sara Mahboob eliminated  Mahnoor Suhail in straight sets in the first Round of Ladies Singles event of Serena Hotels Asian tennis Tour being played at S. Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex.

Men’s Main Draw and order of play

Federal Cup ATT Tennis Championships 2016 – Asian Tennis Tour (ATT)

Islamabad 23rd October 2016: The qualifying draw of 1st Asian Tennis Tour – Federal Cup ATT Tennis Championships played at S.Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad. A total number of 12 players are accepted after the sing-in deadline in the qualifying draw. Faizan Khurram, Aman Attique Khan, Muhammad Usman Ejaz, Hamza Bin Asif qualified for the Main Draw of Men’s Singles after winning the final round of qualifying matches.

Mr. Tariq Mehmood Murtaza, President of Islamabad Tennis Association has the honor to start 1st two ATT tours; Federal Cup ATT Tennis Championships and Syed Tajammul Abbas Memorial ATT Tennis Championships from 23-26 October and 26-30 October respectively. He said though it is a disappointing for us that no international players participation from overseas due to the recent conflict of Indo-PAK LOC. It is an excellent opportunity for Pakistani players to gain valuable ATF Ranking points and improve their Asian Ranking for other international tournaments. It is hearting to know that more than 44 players from Pakistan got Asian Players Identification (APIN) from Asian Tennis Federation.

Muzammil Murtaza, Muhammad Ali Shahibzada, Haris Irafan –ul-Haq, Abdal Haider, Aqeel Khan, Shahzad Khan, Mudassar Murtaza, Ahmed Choudhary, Malik Abdul Rehman and Arham Khan are directly accepted into Main Draw according to the Asian Tennis Federation office. Islamabad Tennis Association awarded two wild cards namely Muhammad Abid Mushtaq and Heera Ashiq in the Main Draw.

Upcoming Aman Attique junior players from Rawalpindi made the major upset when he eliminated top ranked national player Usman Rafique in a well contested two set match in the 1st qualifying round match and then easily eliminated Ahmed Murad without any resistance and qualified for the Main Draw. Aman Attique was in fine touch as he performed excellent game in the previous week in a grade-1 Tournament and won the National Junior title at 6-0 6-0 at POF Wah. Faizan Khurram also struggle hard to won his encounter against Talah Bin Asif in another good match of the day at 6-3 7-5 and qualified for the main draw by winning second match against Ali Imtiaz. Moosa Choudhary won his match against Hassan Qureshi of Lahore and Zaid Mujahid won his match against Adnan Rasheed in straight set 6-2 6-2.

The top sixteen players of the 1st ATT – Pakistan (M1) will be seen in action tomorrow at 10:00 AM

The opening ceremony of the main draw will start tomorrow (Monday) at 10:30 AM at S.Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad. Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, Senior Vice President and Board Member Asian Tennis Federation will grace the occasion as Chief Guest.

1st Chairman POF Sports Board National Tennis Championship 2016
The Pakistan Ordnance Factory, an affiliated unit of Pakistan Tennis Federation will organize 1st Chairman POF Sports Board National Tennis Championship 2016 from 16th to 22 October at POF Wah Sports Complex, The Championship is PTF,s grade One national tournament and carries Rs. 500000/ cash prize Money,
Dr. Amir Murad is the president of organizing Committee and Mr. Asad Durrani is the secretary organizing Committee.
Events are , Men s Singles, Ladies Singles, Juniors 17 Singles, Boys 14 Singles, Boys & girls 10 Singles, Men s Doubles and 45 plus Seniors Doubles,
The 10 and Under event shall be played with modified Green Dot balls ,which are being provided to each and every organizer by PTF free of cost.

ATT Tour – Pakistan M1 & M2

 

Islamabad 20th September 2016: Islamabad Tennis Association under the auspicious of Pakistan Tennis Federation will organize first ever Asian Tennis Tour Men’s Asian Ranking Tennis Championships from 23rd – 30th October 2016 at the clay courts of S.Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad.

 

The first of the series is Federal Cup ATT Championships and the Second one is Syed Tajammul Abbas Memorial ATT Championships. These Championships carries US $5000/- for each championships.

 

Forty three (43) nations of Asia are eligible to participate in this newly introduce Men’s Professional Tennis Championships. The winner of each leg will get US $900/- The main draw of each leg comprises 16 players out of which nine (09) to be accepted directly. One Junior having highest ranking as per ITF Juniors will be eligible to be the part of the Draw. Whereas host nation is allowed to enter four (04) wild cards below 23 years of age in the main draw. All main draw players will also get US $125/- as travel grant.

 

Qualifying draw shall be of thirty two (32) players.

 

The players intent to participate in these two high profile tournaments are asked to enter in the tournaments after getting Asian Players Identification Number (APIN) online through Asian Tennis Federation ATT Web site: http://www.asiantennistour.com/SitePages/AboutApin. Last date of entry through APIN is 12th October 2016.
